Craig Wright submits copyright application for Bitcoin white paper

Craig – I’m Satoshi – Wright is busy again. This time he submitted a copyright request for, yes, the Bitcoin white paper. With this promotion, Wright seems to want to prove once again that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the original creator and developer of Bitcoin.

what is noted by both Neeraj K. Agrawal, General Partner at investment company Battery Ventures and Jerry Brito, Executive Director at CoinCenter, is that anyone can submit a copyright claim. Agrawal says:

Registering a copyright is simply filling in a form. The Copyright Office does not investigate the claim further; they just register it. Unfortunately, there is no official way to challenge a registration. If there are competing claims, then they are all simply registered.

Brito confirms the strange state of affairs when it comes to registering a copyright:

Registering a copyright is just filing a form. The Copyright Office does not investigate the validity of the claim; they just register it. Unfortunately there is no official way to challenge registration. If there are competing claims, the Office will just register all of them. https://t.co/YA70ALpG1Y

Wright recently submitted a list to the federal court in the United States with public bitcoin addresses, which should show that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. The addresses, initially censored by Wright’s lawyers, turned out to be worthless for his claim.
